The famous Colorful Mountain in Cusco Peru is the new sensation of Cusco, known as Rainbow Mountain or 7 Colors , is a natural beauty of Cusco . Along the way you will have breathtaking views of the Andes, like glacial peaks, the famous lamas dressed in their typical clothes. On the way, you will see in right side the red valley, which is a whole incredible red mountain. We will have time to take pictures of this wonderful place. When we reaching upstairs, the guide will tell the story about the rainbow mountain , also about native people from Cusipata village, who manage the Rainbow Mountain.
This natural wonder is a part of the tourist circuit of Cusco region and also is part of the Andes Mountain, which radiated indescribable excitement by having snow-covered plateaus, streams, valleys, all the beauty of this unique Peruvian Andean landscape. You will also see Andean animals such as Lamas, Alpacas, Andean birds, sheep and others.
This landscape shows the entirety of one of the most beautiful geographical features of the Rainbow Mountain, where nature has different ecological levels and count the richness of minerals those houses its soil. For this and many other reasons, it has been included by National Geographic as one of the 10 attractions to visit in Peru.
The best time to visit the Rainbow Mountain is from April to November, as this season is dry and the weather is favorable to enjoy and the blue sky that beautifies the environment of the whole mountain that surrounds it. From December to March, it is already a rainy season, when it starts to rain all day or snow can fall, so you need to be lucky to be able to see the landscape of the Colored Mountain. You will see the native people with their colorful and typical clothes of the region, descendants of the Incas, who speak Quechua, the Inca language that speaks in the Peruvian Andes.
RAINBOW MOUNTAIN
Early in the morning at 4:00 am we will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco, so we can travel to Rainbow Mountain *, before we get to the mountain of seven colors, we will have breakfast at a tourist restaurant buffet in Cusipata. Also in Cusipata we will have a briefing and an explanation of our guide, how will be this amazing tour for mountain of 7 colors.
After breakfast, we will travel more 45 minutes, climbing the mountain until we reach the starting point, where we begin the trek to the Rainbow mountain. Arriving at our starting point, you will have the option of renting a horse in case you don't want to go hiking, your guide will help you with the horse rental. Walking you take 2.00 hours and riding will be like 1.00 hours to getting up there.
Our guide will tell the story of the colorful mountain and the red valley and the village, which is inside the rainbow mountain.
You will see the native people with their colorful and typical Inca descent, who speak Quechua to the Inca language that goes on speaking in the Peruvian Andes. After enjoying the wonder that our mother nature presents us, you will descend back along the same route. Where we will take the same tourist transport back. Arriving in Cusipata we will have a delicious buffet lunch, and then back to Cusco, we will arrive around 17.00 in the afternoon.
