The most popular tourist destination in Peru, mainly in the city of Cusco, is considered the Inca city of Machu Picchu, followed by the Inca Classica Trail and at the end the famous Salkantay Machu Picchu Trail. ITINERARY

Day 1

CUSCO - MOLLEPATA - SORAYPAMPA

  • Ao amanhecer passaremos a buscá-lo em seu Hotel a hora marcada, juntaremos o grupo e viajaremos em nosso ônibus privado com destino ao ponto de partida, chamada MOLLEPATA. É um povoado andino que ainda conserva as casas antigas coloniais e as fazendas dos antigos moradores. Chegando ao povoado, já podemos observar em frente o nevado da Trilha Salkantay ou Salcantay, logo vamos aproveitar tomar um delicioso café da manhã local. Depois ainda vamos continuar com nosso transporte até chegar ao ponto do início chamada CH´ALLACANCHA. Onde nos apresentaremos a nossos carregadores, que estarão nos esperando com os cavalos e enquanto isso você pode tirar vantagem de arrumar suas coisas e preparar-se para o início da trilha salkantay. Começaremos o trekking salkantay passando por vales cheios de vegetação e casa das famílias quechuas. Subiremos pela imponente colina de CH´ALLACANCHA, desde aí se tivermos sorte poderemos apreciar ver o vôo dos condores. A caminhada é suave sem pressão, porque se trata de desfrutar ao máximo. Para meio dia chegaremos a nosso acampamento em SKY DOMES (Soraypampa), onde vamos ter um almoço delicioso preparado por nosso cozinheiro. Após da sesta continuaremos nossa caminhada mais uma hora e meia para chegar a sagrada Laguna Humantay, que está localizada ao lado dos nevados da montanha de Humantay e Salkantay onde apreciaremos a caída das aguas, a paisagem maravilhosa e a laguna de cor verde que é única da esta região de Cusco. (3.850 m.a.n.m). O final da tarde fica para apreciar o deslumbrante pôr do sol sobre o imponente pico de Montanha Salkantay.

Day 2

SORAYPAMPA - CHAULLAY -COLPAPAMPA

  • After a good breakfast, we will be willing to continue our walk (considered the strongest of the trip). At 7:00 am we will go through Salkantay - pampa to go to the left side of the snowy mountain called Umantay, which is near the snowy Salkantay - Salcantay. We will arrive around 11:00 am, at the highest point of the trail. Passing Salkantay Umantay at 4,650 meters from this point, we will see the mountains and glaciers of the snowy Salkantay, and may well appreciate the impressive avalanches that occur in the mountain of Salkantay - Salcantay. We will have a half hour stop to take pictures and we will also attend a payment ceremony at the Pacha Mama, which will be made by our guide of the trail near the mountains of Umantay and Salkantay enjoy the scenery. We will descend 1h30 more to have lunch in the village of Huayracmachay. Then we will continue our walk along the edge of the forest next to the extraordinary landscape. Until arriving at the town of Chaullay or Colpapampa (2,950 m.a.n.m) where it will be our second night of camping.

Day 3

COLPAPAMPA – PLAYA – SANTA TERESA.

  • This day is memorable for its variety of flora and fauna that we will see during the day. We will appreciate the formation of hot springs in a small valley around the village of Colpapampa. We will walk 5 hours inside the forest knowing the varieties of the vegetation. Then we will arrive at a village called La Playa, we will have lunch and then we will take a transport that would take us for an hour until the town of Santa Teresa. Where we go next to the river Salkantay and Santa Teresa, where we will find the different varieties of orchids and waterfalls of great magnitude, in turn, we will appreciate the variety of coffee, fruit trees, bananas, avocados, granadadilla. Finally, we will arrive at the Huadquiña - Santa Teresa camp (1550 m), after that in the afternoon take free time to go swimming to one of the best hot springs in the region of Cusco called (Colcalmayo) which is located one hour from Santa Teresa.

Day 4

SANTA TERESA - HIDROELÉCTRICA - AGUAS CALIENTES

  • After a good breakfast, we prepare for an adventure that will take us to the full adrenaline in the valley of Santa Teresa, in the middle of 2 surrounding mountains we will have the Zipline activity, where we will be for a period of 2 hours. Then we will soon have a transportation that will take us to the town of Hidroelétrica, for an estimated time of 1 hour. Later, we will appreciate an underground river and the electric generator (where the electric energy is produced for the city of Cusco). Lunch in the village of Hidroeléctrica. Then we will have a 3 hour walk to the town of Aguas Calientes. In the course of the trail we will appreciate the landscape of the area protected by the Peruvian state and we will also have the opportunity to observe the mountains of Machu Picchu and Huaynapicchu. Passing through the archaeological complex of Inti Watana and also where we can enjoy seeing the variety of flora and fauna that exists along the way. At the end, we will arrive to the city of Aguas Calientes, to spend the night in a hotel near the Inca city of Machu Picchu.

Day 5

AGUAS CALIENTES - MACHU PICCHU - CUSCO

  • After breakfast, around 5 a.m. in the morning. We will climb on foot towards the Inca city of Machu Picchu. The goal is to arrive early to the city of Machu Picchu to see the sunrise and take the best classic photos of Machu Picchu, before the arrival of other tourists who start arriving with the first bus at 07:00. Then you will have a guided tour for 2 hours by the main temples and archaeological complexes of Machu Picchu and then you will have the entrance to Huaynapicchu - Wayna Pichu will have free time to climb the mountain of Huaynapicchu - Wayna Pichu to see the landscape and visit the Temple of the Moon After descending to the village of Aguas Calientes to have lunch and then pick up the return train according to the time of departure. On this day you will be returning to Cusco, with a train from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo for 2 hours and then our van will be waiting to transfer from Ollantaytambo to Cusco.
